The participants on this two day course will learn something about the history of the ancient medium of egg tempera , but the main emphasis being on the techniques of egg tempera and its practical applications. The course will cover an introduction to pigments, methods, surfaces,tools and techniques, and each participant will receive specialist advice on how to make their own paint. Participants will explore the different properties of the medium and then under Antony's expert guidance develop a tempera painting from still -life objects. MATERIALS PROVIDED
