INTRODUCTION to Oil Painting

Service Description

An introduction to oil painting for complete beginners. This will include the technical properties of paint, solvents, oils, surfaces to a paint on, application and a range of techniques. Through a range of exercises we will explore oil paint and conclude in a small still life study. Materials needed :- Oils - (preferably artists quality paint) Cadmium Red, Ultramarine Blue, Lemon Yellow, Titanium White. I bottle of low odour solvent such as Gamsol, Sansodor, Shellsol T. Oil painting paper will be provided. Drawing Board (this can just be a piece of MDF or Ply), Masking tape. Three oil painting brushes or more in a range of sizes. Kitchen paper or rags.

Cancellation Policy

All Cancellations must be made in writing to Merrie Curtiss -Fuller at this address, Holly Farm, Brisley Road, Horningtoft, Dereham, Norfolk, NR20 5DS. Cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee of £30. If cancellation is received less than 5 weeks before the start of the course, your deposit will be forfeited. I regret I cannot make refunds for bookings which you cancel after the final balance has been paid. Final balance is due no later than 5 weeks before the course. I reserve the right to cancel the course if insufficient bookings are received, I will inform you of this at the earliest opportunity and in this event the monies will be refundable in full.
