Service Description

The workshop will start with a demo and an explanation about materials and how to put together a palette that works for each student. We will also discuss how to “read” the temperature of the light and the way this affects colour mixing, as well as talking about composition, the tonal scale and chromatic harmony. We will then start to work directly in oils on canvas, without preparatory drawings. Students will be encouraged to produce two or three studies during the workshop: the emphasis is not on “finishing” the portrait but on the process of recording their observation on light and form.

Cancelation Policy

All Cancellations must be made in writing to Merrie Curtiss -Fuller at this address, Holly Farm, Brisley Road, Horningtoft, Dereham, Norfolk, NR20 5DS. Cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee of £30. If cancellation is received less than 5 weeks before the start of the course, your deposit will be forfeited. I regret I cannot make refunds for bookings which you cancel after the final balance has been paid. I reserve the right to cancel the course if insufficient bookings are received, I will inform you of this at the earliest opportunity and in this event the monies will be refundable in full.
